Code Compliance Duct & Envelope Testing
Blower Door And Duct Testing Is More Than Just That Energy Efficiency Thing. It Is Testing Beyond Guessing!!
GA. Code Compliance
D.E.T Verifying
Georgia’s Energy Code 2015 IECC + 2020 GA Supplements and Amendments require a blower door and a duct leakage test on new builds and some retrofits, according to GA Code. TruResults Home Services recommends that all new construction be tested before drywall and insulation are completed. Air sealing and adjustments are easier to accomplish before the exterior and interior are completed. Oftentimes, mistakes are made that are very expensive and labor-intensive to correct at the final stage. D.E.T Verifying is a pass or fail test. If a test failed we work with homeowners, builders, and contractors to achieve a passing score.

Blower Door Testing
Building performance issues may not lie in plain sight. They are often invisible in the final stages of construction or possibly hidden on purpose. During a blower door test, overall air leakage is measured on all six sides of the house. Blower door testing is a major hardship for poor construction because nothing can hide. Stop guessing and let's start testing.

Duct Tightness Testing
Duct testing helps improve energy efficiency, indoor air quality, system performance, and comfort while also contributing to the longevity of your HVAC system. Duct testing measures unintentional leaks in the duct system. HVAC systems are designed to regulate indoor air for comfort, including temperature control and air filtration. A properly designed and well-sealed duct system will provide great comfort and optimize your system performance. However, if it’s not sealed properly, it can allow pollutants in the air stream, waste energy, and inflate your energy bills. This is why air duct leakage testing is crucial. This test can be done at various construction stages or post-construction.
Just Build Tight & Right
At Tru-Results Home Services, we understand the importance of meeting building code requirements. A failed test will delay your Certificate of Occupancy and cost you more money from your budget. Blower door testing is essential for ensuring your building’s airtightness, which is a key factor in energy efficiency standards, comfort, and a healthy home. By identifying and fixing air leaks, you can meet and even exceed these standards, ensuring compliance with both local and state regulations while gaining control of your building’s comfort, efficiency, health, integrity, and performance.
